The Skyscraper and the Scar

About the Story

The skyscraper is silhouetted against the horizon, an open scar on the skyline, rising until it’s lost in the clouds. A promise of prosperity, of something never reached. A monolith of what we once were and might not be again. A beacon in the night, for those who still believe in the strength of concrete, steel and flesh.

[This game contains explicit language, intense violence, blood and gore, drug consumption and sexual references.]

[The game is mobile friendly and it is optimized for all screen sizes.]

Editorial Reviews

The Breakfast Review
There is supposedly some complex stat-tracking involved to determine the sort of person you are based on your choices; presumably there are alternate actions available to people who play a certain way, but I do not think I saw anything that appeared as a result of being "character appropriate" as opposed to being an immediate result of the previous action. Perhaps I haven't explored deeply enough, or perhaps the alernative choices require adherence to a much narrower and more specific path than the ones I trod.

A mid length branching zombie game, May 10, 2017

I beta tested this game. A single playthrough of this game takes you through a series of battles and explorations in a luxury apartment building after a zombie apocalypse.

The game is not too long, and there are some difficulties with the translation. However, on more playthroughs, it has more features: more branches, randomization, multiple languages.

Note: this review is based on older version of the game.

Bien escrita, pero con pocas ramas. | A well-written CYOA with few choices., January 11, 2017
by IFforL2 (Chiayi, Taiwan)

Esta historia permite al usuario a escoger inglés y o español, una cosa útil para aprender este o ese idioma. Los elecciones disponibles no parecen resultar en muchas variaciones o resultados.

This story allows the reader to read in English or Spanish. I consider this somewhat useful for learning languages. However, the available choices don't result in a great variety of results. Then again, the authors' goal may simply be to enjoy several perspectives on the same story.
